What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a gentle yet transformative practice that targets the connective tissues of the body, encouraging both mobility and resilience. Unlike “yang” practices (such as Vinyasa or Hatha) that emphasize muscle activation, Yin invites you to stay in poses for longer—typically 3–5 minutes—to nurture flexibility, stability, and mindful presence.In this workshop, you’ll:
Learn the foundations of Yin Yoga, including its roots in Traditional Chinese Medicine and the influence of meridians and energy flow.
Explore how props can enhance comfort, safety, and support in each posture.
Practice a guided Yin Yoga sequence with time for reflection and questions.
Discover how Yin practice taps into the parasympathetic nervous system, offering calm, restoration, and an invitation to slow down into stillness.
This workshop is for all levels—no experience required. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of Yin Yoga, a printed class format to support your personal practice, and the felt experience of moving slowly and mindfully into stillness.
