Kids need space to move, play, imagine, connect, and simply be kids.

In Kids Yoga + Play, Gail blends playful yoga, movement games, creative challenges, mindfulness, breathing practices, and relaxation into an hour designed especially for kids. Rather than asking children to sit still and “be mindful,” the class gives them opportunities to discover focus, confidence, calm, and body awareness through play and movement.

    Each week may include:

Yoga Games & Creative Play — Movement, imagination, partner activities, group games, and plenty of opportunities to laugh and have fun.

Strength, Balance & Coordination — Yoga poses and movement challenges that build body awareness and complement sports and other physical activities.

Mindfulness Through Movement — Simple, age-appropriate ways to practice noticing, focusing, and being present.

Breathing & Calming Tools — Playful breath practices children can use when they feel overwhelmed, frustrated, anxious, or overstimulated.

Confidence & Self-Compassion — Encouragement to try new things, celebrate what their bodies can do, and practice treating themselves and others with kindness.

Connection & Cooperation — Games and activities that encourage creativity, communication, teamwork, and belonging.

    Baby and Me
    October 17th through November 21st (6 weeks)
    Saturdays 11am - 12pm

Calling all Gorge mamas and your precious babes - let's gather, move together, and cultivate community!
This special postpartum movement class series will provide a supportive space for mamas and your pre-crawling babes to bond through a nourishing movement practice. We will move in ways that help heal, rebuild, and strengthen our bodies after childbirth, and alleviate the common tight/sore spots that come with motherhood.

There will be a focus on core and pelvic floor reintegration, bodyweight strength exercises, therapeutic stretching, self-myofascial release work, and sustainable ways to move through daily babycare to prevent tension patterns from taking root in your body. Throughout class, we will be weaving in creative movement with your baby, and specific movements just for your baby. This is time for you, mama, to move your body for physical and emotional wellbeing, connect with other local mamas, and share in the joy of movement with your little one.

Nursing, diaper changing, crying babies, sleeping babies, and playful babies are all welcome in this space. We will use various props to support our movement practice. Please bring a baby blanket to use during class to place over the studio props, and anything else that will make your time in class more comfortable. Your baby doesn't have to be present at every class, or any class, if you'd rather take this time for some solo mama movement. The structure of these classes is very flexible and adaptable!

Baby & Me Series Program Pricing
$110 for the series (up to 6 classes)

Especially given our teachers' educational and experience investment plus the class sizes we offer, our program is reasonably priced at $110 for up to 6 classes. Everyone usually misses, at least, one class for some reason and we price the program knowing that. Comparatively, postnatal classes in Portland are priced at $38 for a Drop-In, or an 8-class package for $275.  Therefore, we can not offer a pro-rate or make-up class.
