Mike Ruff

Mike brings 30+ years of cycling experience to Flow, with a background racing and training on the road, in cyclocross, and on the mountain bike.

A few years ago, he committed to Strength45 three times a week, showing up consistently with a focus on fitness and longevity. Today, he’s stronger and fitter than ever—and that strength carries directly into his time on the mountain bike, surfboard, and skis.

Mike is a 200+ hour trained yoga teacherSAYF-certified biomechanics specialist, and trained in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) for mobility and stability. A retired high school and college teacher, he now works as a metal artist and mechanic, bringing clarity, precision, and real-world practicality into every class.

Strength45 is a community-focused, 45-minute metabolic strength conditioning class that blends dumbbell and bodyweight exercises. Designed with a joint-friendly approach to progressive overload, these classes emphasize adjusting load and range of motion to meet individual needs. By combining metabolic chains with RBIT (rest-based interval training), Strength45 delivers the metabolic, strength, and longevity benefits of heavy lifting—in just 45 minutes. This program is accessible to a wide range of ages, body types, and fitness levels. In S45, participants don’t just train hard—they train smart.
