Gail has been on the path of yoga since her early 20s, and brings decades of dedicated study and teaching experience to her students. She has trained extensively in Hatha, Vinyasa, Iyengar, Restorative, Yin Yoga, Children’s and Teen Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, Meditation, and Primal Movement. Gail holds an E-RYT 500 credential, is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), and is SAYF certified.
Gail is also a licensed massage therapist and educator in Oregon. The integration of yoga and massage gives her a deep understanding of healing techniques, healthy body mechanics, and therapeutic movement. She weaves this insight into each class she teaches with compassion, warmth, and respect for every student’s journey.
Her background includes a BA from CSU and years of teaching in Colorado and Alaska. A formative chapter in her life was spent in a small Japanese village, where she studied Shiatsu and worked as an ESL teacher—an experience that continues to inspire her.
Gail’s practice includes Shiatsu, Acupressure, Thai Massage, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, and Zazen meditation, all of which inform her unique and gentle teaching style.
She is also a Certified Sound Healing Practitioner and regularly offers beautifully crafted Sound Baths at Flow and throughout the Columbia Gorge. Since moving from Alaska in 2012, Gail has found a deep sense of home and gratitude in the Pacific Northwest and the Flow Yoga community.
