Jacob found yoga in 2008 as a better form of physical therapy for chronic back pain. What started as a purely physical practice evolved to a deep inner practice while practicing with Meg Byerlein at Desert Song Yoga in Phoenix, AZ. Upon moving to the gorge in 2017, Jacob began practicing and studying with Steph and Adi at Flow, and is overjoyed to begin teaching alongside the entire Flow staff.
Jacob’s style is simple and direct, focused on the questions, techniques and practices that take us back to the source. He’s intensely focused on yoga for westerners in a modern world—maintaining the stillness of the woods among the crowd of a city, a smartphone, and a desk job.
